Sub-guilding

Postby Etoilee » Tue May 24, 2005 11:25 am

We are currently working on policies with other GLs on the game to allow SA members to sub-guild into their guilds, as well as other guild members being able to sub-guild Dark.

So there are several possibilities here, those first concerning you all directly. You can be sub-guilded if!

- you want to ICly infiltrate another guild to work for the Shadow
- your character is dabbling with returning to the Light
- you meet all the requirements from that guild

light huggers are going to be able to sub dark if!

- they are dabbling with turning into the shadow
- they're ICly hunting down DF or are infiltrating us! (ono!)
- they meet our requirements :)

Note : the requirements for both sides are likely to be on a case by case basis. This -is- a roleplay intensive option, so RP developing your character's motivations and actions will be required. If you are interested, drop Itan, Kresken, and I a note with what guild you're interested in subbing into, as well as what your character is trying to do ICly and such, and we can get this working. As of now, this is in a test phase, so if it works out well, it will be opened up and made permanent.

So! Give it a shot :)

[ 40] Bellas: Subguilding -Approved Guidelines)
Date: Tue May 24 20:35:30 2005
To: staff
===========================================================================
Following is the agreed upon guidelines from the Immortal staff, topic is considered closed, GL's can move forward as needed:

Race Guilds (Aiel, SF, SC, Ogier, Tink) will only be subguilded at most.

A *heavy* RP requirement. The goal of this is RP anyway. Keep the ones who just want the title out of it.

The potential guildee's primary, or "home," GL will decide what the reqs are to get the person to the point of subguilding. At this point, the home GL will contact the "sub-guild" GL and make them aware. From there, the sub-guild GL can employ its reqs to actually get the subguilding done (RP, Oath Swearing, whatever). With both GLs in ***communication and agreement,*** one of their Imm Reps will do the actual subguild code.

To advance to high ranks in the SA or any "Guild", they will have to be fully guilded, not subguilded. Persons could advance a bit in the "virtual" DF circles as they are set up. If you wanted to really advance in the SA, you should be in it. Same for Dfs subguilded into a Light guild.

Subguilded chars will have the ability to forsake their Dark Oaths or Light oaths and go back to the light or dark, of course with the real threat of IC retributions.

If there is a disagreement between GL's in the matter of SUBGuilding both parties shall adress the Immortals for a discusion and agreement to be made on such issue. We are leaving this in the court of the GL's to work out however in the event if matters can not be the Immortals will act as a third non bias party.

This is the end of the full discussion from the GL/IMM forums.

(Yes, subguilding is now an option, here's your solid proof.)

Since I have been asked just exactly what the requirements for subguilding into the Shadow are, they are very simple, I will share them now:

1) RP RP RP. This cannot be stressed enough, this is a HIGHLY RP based guild and a highly RP based portion of the guild is subguilding. Any potential sub-guilded shadow members must have extensive and well RPed out reasoning behind their character becoming a darkfriend. (Yes, being Subguilded to the Shadow means you ARE a darkfriend, none of this 'dabbling in the dark' crap)

2) When you have a signifigant amount of good, well written and ACCURATE RP written, leave a note in-game to Etoilee and myself with links to all RPs pertaining to the conversion, a decision will be made at that time. As with all else in the guild, we reserve the right to deny subguilding and other Shadow related events in RP if they do not meet up to our expectations. All subguilding petitions will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
